EZRA MILLER + SOMETHING SPECIAL STUDIOS / JAŸ-Z30 [2026]
Thirty years on, JAŸ-Z’s Reasonable Doubt still sets the standard — a debut that rewrote hip-hop, back again on white vinyl for its thirtieth.
To mark the occasion, Something Special Studios built an immersive takeover of Target’s SoHo store, turning the entrance tunnel into a walk through JAŸ-Z history.
Ezra Miller brought us in to help with visuals and engineering. Together, we scratch-built a live playback and processing system, mixing Hassan Rahim’s curation of three decades of Roc-Nation footage across the screens with an eye toward presenting the generationally-crushed archival media in a way that felt integrated and true despite the writ-large high-fidelity LED presentation.
